BUILT FOR MOBILE TEAMS

Flexible performance for every shift

Explore the TOUGHBOOK 56 Mk1: a modular 14-inch laptop with a taller 16:10 display, available glove-enabled touchscreen and configurable ports. Match the device to your reporting, CAD or ePCR applications, connectivity needs and vehicle equipment.

Rugged & readable

A magnesium-alloy chassis, integrated handle and spill-resistant keyboard support mobile work. Panasonic lists a 3-foot drop rating, MIL-STD-810H testing and IP53 protection. Match the environment to this rating; IP53 is not intended for exposed rain or snow.

The 14-inch, 1920 × 1200 display has a 16:10 shape for more vertical workspace. Choose the 350-nit standard screen or optional 1,000-nit glove-enabled touchscreen. A stylus and tether are available separately.

Color-selectable keyboard backlighting, four programmable keys, Night Mode and Concealed Mode help users adapt the controls to their shift.

Connected & modular

Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connect users to local networks and peripherals. Optional 4G LTE or 5G supports mobile broadband, nano-SIM and eSIM. FirstNet service requires eligibility, coverage and a supported configuration.

Six user-replaceable areas include memory, storage, battery and three xPAK expansion areas on standard models. Add a barcode reader, Smart Card reader, optical drive, second SSD or selected ports.

Two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports, USB-A, HDMI and Ethernet are standard. Options include serial and up to three Ethernet ports, including 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps choices. Modules sharing an expansion area are mutually exclusive.

Power & productivity

Windows 11 Pro and Intel Core Ultra 5 vPro 235H or optional Ultra 7 265H processors support demanding agency applications. Configure 16–64GB DDR5 memory and a 512GB, 1TB or 2TB main SSD, with an optional second drive.

Panasonic rates runtime up to 12 hours, or 24 hours with the optional second battery, using MobileMark 30. Actual battery life varies with brightness, applications, connectivity and configuration. Hot-swapping requires the second battery.

Optional AMD Radeon PRO W7500M 8GB graphics supports graphics-intensive workloads. Review its docking and expansion restrictions before selecting it for vehicle use.

A 5MP infrared webcam supports Windows Hello and includes a privacy cover. Dual microphones with AI noise reduction and front-facing 98dB speakers help with communication in noisy surroundings.

Match the laptop to your mission

Plan your agency’s TOUGHBOOK 56 deployment with TGR.

Which options fit your fleet?

The optional AMD 8GB dedicated-graphics model has no docking connector and is not compatible with docks. It also lacks antenna pass-through and dedicated GPS; its RAM and left/rear expansion areas are not user-replaceable.

The second battery shares the right expansion area with authentication-reader xPAKs. Choose compatible modules, and confirm vehicle installation and power needs before ordering.

Share your applications, fleet size, vehicle models and existing dock part numbers. Panasonic lists compatible Havis and Gamber-Johnson docks, plus vehicle power, printers and charging accessories. Review imaging, asset tagging, deployment and optional TOUGHCare coverage with TGR. Dock reuse depends on the laptop configuration and exact hardware.
